The Sunday Schnauzer – Walktober Glory

As some of you may remember, I recently switched web hosts. During that time of switchover, I initially published this post on October 26, however it did not make it into my blog once the transition was completed to the new host. It exists somewhere in cyberspace and thankfully I could recover it from The Widow Badass Facebook page. I am republishing it today (November 2) as a kind-of bonus Sunday Schnauzer 😄. Feel free to ignore if you have already read it!

This is my official submission to Dawn’s (Change is Hard) Walktober post.

Back from the torture place dog spa and ready for Thanksgiving weekend (and our next walk!).
The start of another fabulous fall walk on a glorious October day…
Perusing the view from the top of one of the forestry company’s many ditches dug this spring (grrrr).
A Big Leaf maple leaf got stuck on my hiking pole.
Instead of his usual leaping over obstacles, Bowser decided to leisurely traverse this log for a change of pace.
Deciding where to go next.
Another gentle hop over a log about to happen. Bowser was very Zen-like during this walk for some reason.
Heading towards what I like to call Fernlandia.
Heading out of the Witchy Woods and towards the light.
Bowser at the path at the edge of the ravine leading to the still almost-dry creek bed.
Always remember to look up at this time of the year!
Enjoying the warm sun on our faces.

Rock on, stay Walktober Zen, and remember to keep those elbows up…

  1. Hi Deb, A couple of days ago I did leave a comment on this post via email access to comment. I saw the comment appear and then the entire post vanished into thin air. All around Halloween weekend, likely spooky web(site) ghosts casting their spell. Anyhooooo, my sort of words were: great photos, as always! You should enter the first photo with Bowser in the kerchief and the blurry background in a pet photo contest – ie SPCA photo contests held a few times throughout the year – one of them for their calendar. I LOVE this photo – the complementary colours and of course, Bowser’s cute little expression. 🎃💕Erica
