I can’t praise the recipes I’ve tried at Sip and Feast enough! Every one has been a winner so far, and subject to repeat requests by my family. Here is a recipe for scalloped potatoes that I have made multiple times already since trying it.
That’s my short and sweet post for this month. I hope you’ll join my co-host Donna and myself and let us know what’s been on your plate lately, either in the Link Party or in the Comments.
INLINKZ:Rock on,
The WB
I just recently discovered Sip and Feast and eager to try some of his ideas.
I hope you wonโt be disappointed, Barbara (I would be surprised if you were!). Thanks ๐
Those potatoes look heavenly. Just saved the recipe!
๐
I hope you enjoy them as much as we did! Thanks, Rivergirl ๐
Love potato dauphinoise
Ooooh, I love that name much better than โscalloped potatoesโ. Thanks, Sheree ๐
My pleasure
Yum! ๐๐
So yum! Thanks, Natalie ๐
When I’m eating carbs again, this will be first on my list – well maybe right after french fries!
๐คฃ Totally worth the calories! Thanks, Suzanne ๐
Looks great! I’ve never met a potato I didn’t like!
I have (looking at you, Mashed Potatoes!) but these are so delicious! Thanks, Kate ๐
You don’t like mashed? Wow!
Nope, I just don’t like ’em!
Which is funny as I love mashed but am not a huge fan of scalloped!
๐คฃ Different strokes, different folks!
The scalloped potatoes look so good. I had a fish week – Mediterranean tuna noodle casserole (Martha Stewart), fish chowder, pan fried halibut. I don’t typically use a recipe for soup. Those recipes are just a suggestion anyway.
I love everything FISH. Sounds so good! Thanks, Mona ๐
Those potatoes are making me hungry! Sweet potatoes gratin (Bobby Flay) are delicious, too — creamy, sweet with just a touch of heat! ๐ Mona
I’ll have to look that up!!!
When I was younger, my mom and grandmother would make scalloped potatoes! I loved them! This recipe looks very similar to theirs, but I’d like to try it to see how it tastes. I might make this next week and bring it over to my parents house. โค๏ธ
I hope it works out for you and is the scalloped potatoes of your youth! Thanks, Kari ๐
Hi Deb – wonderful creamy potatoes … just right – simple, yet luxurious … cheers Hilary
You nailed it! Thanks, Hilary ๐
Blueberry trifle? Ohhhhh… that sound delish!
It was pretty good but our reigning favourite is still blackberry. Thanks, Debs ๐
I get how that would be ๐
Love all things potato. Thanks for this recipe. Suddenly feel the need to make a trifle, too. I’m gaining weight just stopping by here.
Ooops, sorry about that side effect ๐. Thanks, Ally ๐
Hmm love a baked potato dish! And your trifle looks delish too!
Thanks, Janine ๐
Ooh the potato dish looks delicious and is always winner isn’t it, Deb? My daughter makes an awesome trifle each Christmas. She doesn’t cook normally (her husband is the chef in their house) but her trifles are sublime. Thanks for hosting #WOYP and have a Fabulous February x
Thank you very much, Sue ๐ Wishing you a fabulous Feb as well!
I’ll bet your place smelled yummy when this was baking.
You know it! Thanks, Jean ๐
I’m a big fan of potatoes, and scalloped potatoes are right up there as favorites. Thanks for sharing the recipe! Of course, we’ve already made your no-knead bread several times (also a big fan of bread… and butter).
Ahhhhโฆthe finer things in life, eh Janis? ๐ Simple yet supremely satisfying. Thanks ๐
That trifle looks fabulous!! Thanks for having us over for dinner at your place ๐
Anytime, Debbie! Thanks ๐
Is that sour dough bread I spotted? And what’s not to love about a free wheeling trifle!
Not sour dough, but regular bread with a super long rise (18+ hours). Letโs hear it from free wheelinโ it in the kitchen ๐คฃ. Thanks, Bernie ๐
I am definitely going to request that you make this meal for me. Perhaps without the meat, but definitely with the trifle. This meal looks absolutely delicious!!
Thank you, my friend ๐
Pingback: another pancake recipe – Touring My Backyard
After seeing all your gorgeous sunrises/sets during your vaca (whilst we were freezing in subzero temps) this is sumptuous feasting… truly the icing on the cake! (It’s 57 F today. ๐คญ) ๐
Thanks, Del ๐ Enjoy the early warmth while it lasts!
The scalloped potatoes look so good and cheesy!
I do enjoy a trifle myself and that one must be amazing.
No cheese what so ever on these spuds! Just a bechamel sauce. The trifle wasn’t the best but probably a top 5. Blackberry is still our favourite! Thanks, Suz ๐
