The Sunday Schnauzer – Sign of Fall

Forget falling leaves, misty mornings and pumpkin spice lattes, here is the sure sign of fall around here:

Mommy came home from the store with a new toy for Bowser. It’s Hallowe’en themed!
And it’s delicious, apparently!
Another sign of fall – Bowser is using his doggy bed again.
New toy bliss!

We hope you are enjoying the last blissful days of summer (even though it is acting like fall already around here!).

Rock on,

The WB

  1. It’s feeling fallish around here as well. low’s in the 40’s and highs in the 80’s. All but two of the Hummingbirds have left that feed at my feeder. I’m hoping the two females stay. I bought a heater for the feeder hoping they do. Another week or so will tell if they stay or head south and I return the heater.
His new toy looks like a fun one to have this upcoming season. Does it have a squeaker in it? Diva Dog always destroyed her toys that had them in. All but one. Her stuffed piggie. She loved that one and didn’t rip out the squeaker. 😂

    1. Oh yes, it has a squeaker all right! 😬 Bowser loves to chew on it while his Mommy and Daddy are trying to watch TV. 🤣 I’ve noticed the first tear in it today, so it won’t be long now. I feel like we need a dog toy subscription or something (I’m sure one exists). They don’t last long here either. Thanks, Deborah 💕

  2. The joy of buying a new dog toy is the pure joy they accept them into their hoard of toys. And before you know it, your four-legged kid has enough to fill a washing machine with their stuffies and you’re spending an hour mending them from time to time.

  3. Not very fallish here yet. Maybe by the end of this week. My cats use the cat beds all year long although on really hot days they will sleep on the floor but usually in a sun spot. Cats be weird!

Hi Deb – Bowser is one lucky little dog-boy … we’re still sweltering – another day and then Fall, and rain, will be here! Always good to see his antics and fun life he’s allowed to live – cheers Hilary

I am looking forward to autumn (as we call it over here in the UK) and not just because it’s my favourite season, but because we’ve had unseasonably high temps. It has broken somewhat and dropped by 5(ish) degrees C, but a long way from what I call proper autumnal weather as I’m still craving salad and cold drinks rather than warming stews and hot drinks.

Here's where the magic happens. I love comments!
