The Sunday Schnauzer – Bowser Turns Two

On April 3rd, the star of ye olde blogge turned 2 years old! That’s right – don’t think for a moment that I don’t know who REALLY is the main attraction at Widow Badass Industries. Ahem.

We (his parents and I) decided to take Bowser to the beach and pick up some food (from POKÉ PAGE2) along the way.

Birthday Boy, patiently waiting in the car while his parents pick up our dinner.

Once we got to the beach (and devoured our meal), it was time for the celebrations to begin. I may or may not have snuck Bowser some salmon, tuna, and tamago from my bowl.

Bowser’s momma lovingly crafted a “birthday cake” for him, out of dog food and decorated with cat kibbles she keeps on hand for a half-feral cat that visits our property. Bowser thinks cat food is da bomb and gobbles it down whenever Rosie leaves some behind in her dish.
It was hoovered up so fast I was lucky to get this one shot in!

Then it was time for the REAL birthday treat:

A special dog cookie from the pet store!
Family portrait.

Don’t worry – we didn’t let Bowser eat the whole cookie at once. He will be enjoying pieces of it over the next number of weeks.

We hope you are taking some time to celebrate the little (and big!) things in your life.

Rock on,

The WB

  1. Our dogs (when we lived in the city) used to get to go for a doggie ice cream cone at the DQ. Alas the farm dogs, well let’s just say they don’t get the same kind of pampering. However did you get him to wear the hat!!

    1. And weirdly, WordPress ate my post about Bowser’s first birthday party at Drip Coffee shop, with you. The photos are still in my media files but the post appears to have gone POOF! So crazy!!! Thanks, Donna 💕

  2. Happy Birthday, Bowser! You got the royal birthday treatment! Please don’t show Penny, as I totally missed her birthday! I get to try again when she’s 3 in December.

Hi Bowser – now you must have nearly finished your birthday treat … that looks very good indeed – no walks afterwards, just a good zizz … enjoy the future years! Cheers to one and all – Hilary

  4. Bowser had quite the birthday celebration. Great video of him working on that cookie while being honored in song. It does sound like a good idea to take a picture of his birthday cake before he’s turned loose on it, especially if it is topped with those kitty kibbles!🎂

    1. Last year I made the mistake of placing a lit candle on his “cake” and he almost gobbled it down, flame and all. I learned quickly not to do THAT again 😂. Thanks, Bruce 💕
