The Sunday Schnauzer – Looking Pretty

Bowser here. Oma has been pretty busy the past couple of weeks so I’ve had to stay over at Mommy and Daddy’s more than I am used to, during the day. There have been big white trucks in the front yard and strangers over at Oma’s. Here is a picture of me looking good at Oma’s – she just washed her kitchen yum-yum room mat and I am decorating it.

Not so Patiently waiting for you, Oma. Let’s do something fun please. At least drop something tasty!

Oma asked me to show you what she has been busy with.

It’s behind that solid door in her entry way. The entry way is currently in the process of being renovated as well – Oma

Here are the before/in-progress photos.

And here are the photos of after.

New ceiling lights

Oma is so happy! She says now she has another useful room in her little house.

Can we play now Oma?

Bowser says he hopes you have time to play this weekend. Oma says she will be busy painting the entryway.

Rock on,

The Bowz 🐾

  1. Your house improvements look wonderful. The washer and dryer combo in the bathroom is brilliant. I also like your little friend who just calls to be photographed.

    1. It used to live in my main bathroom, which looks incredibly spacious to me now…with the combo unit removed – another plus! It’s a ventless dryer too, which makes it easy to put just about anywhere. Bowser does indeed call to be photographed 😁. Thanks, Ally 💕

    1. Thank you, Kate 💕 I was just mentioning to Joanne on our call this morning how excited I was to do laundry today. Then we both laughed at the absurdity of that statement 🤣.

  2. I love your kitchen rug and Bowser only adds to the beauty of it.
So, you ditched the gold toilet, I mean throne? 😜😜

This is such a lovely upgrade. You did good…and you’ll almost enjoy doing laundry now in such a bright, clean space. LOVE THE TILE FLOORS!!

    1. Sigh…such a heartbreaking moment to lose the gold toilet…NOT 🤣. From the…a-hem…pre-existing “decor”, I estimate that room was last touched in 1990, and harvest gold anything was out of date even then. Those tiles are actually peel and stick vinyl, from Amazon! I love how they turned out. Thanks, Suz 💕

Bowser is adorable as always and your renovation just screams happy! 🏵🌞 I’m fascinated by your Nellies tins. Is that a real brand or are they decorative? I have an Aunt Nellie who would love those.

          1. That is a real Canadian brand and the tins came from a package of products I bought from their website, I believe (it was a while ago). I use Nellie’s washing soda to clean my clothes and linens. I buy it in bulk and transfer to the tin. Thank you, Bobi 💕

    1. Oma here – actually I have been doing most of the work before or after our walks. I’ve only skipped a walk when I had the electricians and the plumber on site, and obviously couldn’t leave. Bowser is not telling the whole story! 😉 Thanks, Jean 💕

    1. I have spent many hours watching YouTube videos on how people address small space living, Janis. A worthwhile investment of my time, I think. And now that the laundry pair is out of my main bath and in this little previously unused room? My house feels SO MUCH BIGGER. I can’t wait until the entryway is done and I am able to get some storage cabinets in there. I will feel like I live in a mansion 😁. Thank you 💕
