On the first day of Spring 2026, I noticed this clump of daffodils near one of the beginnings of our local trail. People who live across from the trail head will dump their yard waste here, and there are quite a few flowering bulbs and plants that become naturalized in these spots as a result. (Or could it be the work of squirrels?) I’m tempted to dig some of these up and transfer them to our yard but for now I’m content to just admire the beauty and pop of colour.

Meanwhile, down at the currently raging creek…

Happy Spring, everyone!

Spring has sprung
Happy spring! I need to try to get away for a walk in the woods. If my husband promises not to get out of his chair maybe I could.
Good luck
Thank you, Dawn 💕 Same to you!
Yes it has! Thanks, Sheree 💕
Happy Spring!!
Thank you, Deborah 💕 Same to you!
We’re due for 6 inches of snow today so thanks for the peak of spring. Good to know it’s somewhere…
🥴
It IS somewhere, and heading your way if I have anything to say about it! Thanks, Rivergirl 💕

Love the daffodils!
So cheering! Thanks, Kate 💕
We had spring a few days ago and now we’re back to winter coats. But that’s March in MI so I’m not complaining. The old section of our campus has hundreds of daffodils. I love them, even more fun when you find them in unexpected places like you and Bowser did.
March in MI sounds exactly like March where I grew up in southern Ontario! Daffodils are a delight especially in unexpected places – you’re right, Jean. Thanks 💕
Beautiful flowers and the raging waters sounds magnificent! 💕
Thank you, Sis! 💕
I love that photo taken looking up to the flower! Wow the creek is indeed raging.
Thank you, Bernie 💕
Happy spring! We even have ripe tomatoes already… yum!
That’s fabulous! Enjoy!!! Thanks, Janis 💕
