Our daily walks have been outright glorious lately. It’s such a treat to see the plants come into bloom.

We hope you are able to enjoy the weather, wherever you are.

Delighted to read Bowser is thrilled
Admittedly, it doesn’t take much. He is a dog, after all
. Thanks, Sheree
Beautiful spring walks and an adorable Bowser
!
Thank you very much, Natalie
I love seeing your west coast blooms, so different from ours.
Rock on Bowser!
Thank you very much, Rivergirl
I grew up on the eastern half of Canada and the only wild spring flowering plant in common with where I grew up is the trillium.
He likes walking in cold water? Yikes!
Bowser is a Vancouver Island dog for sure! Ocean, creeks, rivers or lakes…any temperature, any time of year! Thanks, Kate
Here in Michigan we have fawn Lillie’s and trillium but I’ve never seen the others. Very pretty. We are still a bit away from wildflowers blooming.
When I lived in Ontario, we called them trout lilies which I thought were different from fawn lilies but maybe they are the same? Thanks, Dawn
Well, I call them trout Lillie’s too. I think they’re the same.
Beautiful. I love the Oregon grape bushes.
Me too! Ashamed to admit I didn’t realize they were so beautifully fragrant until a couple of days ago…Thanks, TG
I learned what Oregon grape bushes were last year. Their flowers are so cool!! Bowser never looks stern!
Thanks, Bernie
Bowser looks to me like a grumpy old man, most of the time
.
Hooray fir Spring and warm weather walks! Happy long weekend!
Same to you my friend! Enjoy your family time
Hi Deb – at long last … the weather is warming up … I remember Spring … love the flowers too and our blossoms are flourishing … fun to have Bowser around to keep you company … cheers and here’s to your walks etc – Hilary
Yes, we are having a much warmer spring than last year! Thank you, Hilary
Looks wonderful. Enjoy!
Thank you, Suzanne
Always interesting, taking these ‘walks’ with Bowser and you.
Thank you, Jean
Always something new to see, no matter how many times we walk the same trails!
It’s beautiful where you are. Those spring colors are inspiring. Lovely photos.
Thank you very much, Ally
Bowser likes the water> Only one of my two minis will go near it
Bowser wasn’t sure about water at first, but now he can’t stay out of it. Not sure if this is a plus or not
. These dogs have a lot of personality and each one is quite different, that’s for sure! Thanks, Forestwood
I agree that Schnauzers are blessed with an overload of personality. A human brain in a dogs body it seems at times. Our old Standard Schnauzer loved to paddle in the water – like Bowser does. They are just so delightful. I can never think of having any other breed of dog now.
Regards,
Amanda
Same here, Amanda! They are the perfect dog for our family’s lifestyle – happy with a 10K hike in the woods followed by a Netflix marathon on the couch
.
Mine love snuggling on the couch in the evening, and… er… during the day too.
Hi Deb, I wholeheartedly agree with you “outright glorious.” Spring is extra gorgeous right now. As you know, it comes in layers around Victoria. The southern part of the city begins with the blossoms, and every few days blossoms begin to appear as we drive north. I concur with cutie, Bowser ‘…thrilled to have Spring weather again.’
Erica
It’s been extra gorgeous, for sure! Especially compared to last spring. Thank you very much, Erica
