Believe it or not, the rain turned to snow I featured in the last post did not include a frost. That (our first frost of the season) happened the day after the snow fall (October 26). Only on Vancouver Island, you say? 😉 Yes! At least in my little corner of the world.
Thank you, Jean 💕 We are careful – me especially (having only 2 legs vs. 4, to keep me upright 😁). The mud can be much more slippery than the ice on the trail and I give both a wide berth if I can!
I watch Bowser carefully to make he doesn’t show signs of freezing toe beans. I think our daily walks have toughened his tootsies up a lot! It helps that we don’t have to deal with road salt either – that really used to bother my dogs back in Ontario. Thanks, Bobi 💕
Cold water or snow/ice…nothing fazes this doggo! I have my winter Bogs boots on for our walks now so I can follow him right into the water 😁 and I can’t feel a thing through those! Thank you, my friend 💕
I believe it is the name of the widget I installed eons ago…to be able to connect and share on social media. I don’t even have Twitter anymore so I should probably get rid of it! Thanks, Ally 💕
That creek looks kind of scary, so fast and I bet cold. We had a first snow too, it only lasted a day…but we’re due for more any time now. I think Penny will love the snow. Me….not so much.
It is amazing that we live so close, yet our weather can be extremely different. We haven’t had snow yet, nor frost (at least I haven’t noticed any). We were supposed to have rain all afternoon today but none yet (not that I’m complaining). Beautiful photos, my friend. Bowser looks very happy!
Jemma seems to think we are at a higher elevation but I don’t think it’s that much higher?! We were supposed to have clouds and rain today but so far it’s been absolutely gorgeous! Thank you, my friend 💕
Brrrr! Bowser doesn’t seem bothered at all by the cold. Please be careful of the slippery terrain… I’m not sure that Bowser would make a very good rescue dog.
Bowser is definitely not a rescue dog – I slipped once on some rocks and he didn’t even come to see where I was at 😒. I had to pick myself up, dust myself off, and go find him! The nerve of some pups 😉. Thanks, Janis 💕
Hi Deb – we are back together again Nonna … doing our thing … a delight to see – cheers Hilary
Thank you, Hilary 💕
He’s really enjoying himself
Always! Thanks, Sheree 💕
😎
Bowz is a trooper! Lovely frost photo…
Thank you, Rivergirl 💕 I love seeing frosted leaves at this time of year.
Looks like a slip and fall waiting to happen. You two be careful out there!

So sweet! Bet those wet feet were cold too! Brrr!😬

That water had to have been very, very cold yet the intrepid little pupster appears to have rushed right in anyway. Better him than you!!!

Not the point of this post, which is a charming one, but what the heck is a “WordPress Social Media Feather”? I’ve never seen that icon before.

Looks a bit like a drowned rat! But at least it doesn’t seem cold. Bernie
🤣 So true! Under the fluff IS Bowser, the drowned rat. Thanks, Bernie 💕
That pup is something else!
We think so too! Thanks, Kate 💕
Such lovely photos! I look forward to your Sunday posts. I especially love the photo of the frosty grape leaves.
Thank you very much, Susan 💕 I love that photo too!

Aw! Lovely frosted holly photo! Glad to see the dynamic duo isn’t defeated by extraneous atmospheric/ground conditions! 💕
The weather has to be pretty bad before we say it’s too bad out for a walk! Thanks, Del 💕
❤️ that attitude❣️

Love the frosty “grape leaves” 😀 😀
Aren’t they pretty?! They caught my eye, that’s for sure! Thanks, Debs 💕
