On October 25, we woke up to snow. We had experienced an atmospheric river event the day before and as the temperatures dropped, the rain turned to the white stuff.
The morning’s walk looked like this.
We hope you are having adventurous weather too (but not too adventurous!).
Rock on,
The WB
You beat us to the punch this year. Just rain here so far, but we’ve had hard frost so it’s coming.
Lovely winter pics of Bowz.
❤️
The snow came before the first frost for us, if you can believe it! Thank you, Rivergirl 💕
A few years back we had a freak storm on Oct. 31 (yep, Halloween!). We got 6 inches. The trees still had leaves and there was a lot of damage. The first snow is always special. So pretty. Come about February I’m cursing it! 🙂
Isn’t that the truth! Winter always loses its charm right after the holidays for me and by February I am counting the days until spring. Thanks, Kate 💕
Beautiful snow cover, just enough to enhance Bowser’s natural coloring.
Yeah, he’s not so quick to disappear against the rocks now! The snow didn’t last much beyond that day so we’re back to only being able to spot him at certain points due to his harness, or movement. Thanks, Ally 💕
Too early for snow for me. Stay safe an d warm.
For us too! Thankfully it is gone already. Thanks, Antoinette 💕
Love that close-up cuteness! 🤗 💖 You can keep the snow. Pretty to look at but I’m not a fan.
The snow was mostly gone within 24 hrs so we didn’t get to keep it after all 😁. I included the closeup just for you! Thanks, Bobi 💕
No adventurous weather here, so I will just admire yours from afar. Actually, we are headed out to the beach in a couple of hours to catch the first early sunset of the season. Maybe the waves will feel adventurous and put on a good show for us.
Fingers crossed you get a good show! Thanks, Suzanne 💕
We are!!
Beautiful photos, Deb – thank you!
Yep, we had some fairly heavy snow showers Wednesday, but the ground’s still so warm nothing stuck. At least not in our area! 😉 Is yours gone now?
Yes! It’s been quite warm here lately although rainy. No complaints from me. Thanks, Del 💕
Bowser is game whatever the weather
He IS an all-weather dog, that’s for sure! Thanks, Sheree 💕
Your October snow shots are amazing (and beautiful). And 45 minutes down the road we had no snow at all. Not even much rain. Weather can be very strange that way.
Awesome shots of Bowser!
It sure can, especially on this island! Thank you, my friend 💕
I love snow and I love how much dogs enjoy it!
Me too! Dogs take such joy in the smallest things – they are an inspiration. Thanks, Bernie 💕
Hi Deb – we’ve had stormy weather – not often here … but wet, wet, wet! I’m just glad I’m not in the white stuff – pretty though it is. Good for Bowser – but if he’d been here … he’d have been in Siberia now … on his way home by wind mail to you, granted! Cheers Hilary
Now that’s taking the long way home, via Siberia 🤣. Thanks, Hilary 💕
Wow! It seems extra early for snow, but I suppose for a southern girl,
Any snow is early! Stay warm Bowser!
It was waaaaaaay too early, especially for where I live! Thanks, Suz 💕
Bowser is all boy and seems to love any outdoor adventure you test him on. What does he like to do inside to stay out of trouble…or doesn’t he stay out of trouble?
Actually Bowser is a huge snuggle bug! But when he is inside and not feeling like snuggling, he plays with his toys…tossing them around and making them squeak. He really is no trouble except when he is squeaking away while you are trying to have a conversation or watching TV 🤣. He has a knack for picking those moments 🤭.
Gorgeous photos, and oh that adorable Adventure Boy! 😍
Thank you very much, Natalie 💕 I will be sure to tell Bowser how adorable you find him!
That looks like just the right amount of snow to look pretty but not hang around too long and make life difficult. Can you tell I have a conflicted relationship with snow? 😀
Yep, I have the same type of relationship with snow! 😂 Thanks, Debs 💕
The pictures are awesome. We are having a heat wave here in Florida. 90 degrees and humid today. Doesn’t feel like November
Oh dear! Hope you get some relief from the heat/humidity soon. I remember that weather from when I lived in Ontario – not fun! Thank you 💕
