The past week was mostly sunny and warm during the day and Bowser and I made sure to make the most of it.
Are you ready for and welcoming autumn? Did you enjoy the last week of Summer 2023?
Rock on,

We’re still enjoying summer. It rarely feels autumnal before the end of October. Hugs to Bowser
Hugs delivered! Thanks, Sheree 💕
HI Deb – our summer has gone … it is definitely chillier and as you mention getting ‘shadowy’ all the time. Still a couple of months before the winter completely sets in … Bowser and you are doing the best for the end of comfortable walks – cheers Hilary
We find almost all walks comfortable, if we are dressed properly. As I like to say: there are no bad days outdoors, only bad gear choices! 🤣 Thanks, Hilary 💕
I’m always ready for autumn. It’s the best time of year. I think Bowz agrees…
😉
I believe he does, Rivergirl! Thanks 💕
I’m not ready to let the summer go. But I love fall too. It’s just that time in general is rushing by.
Doesn’t it though? Thanks, Dawn 💕
Some of the trees across our green space are turning already. I’m enjoying my view. Summer when by too quickly I’m hoping fall will linger.
I love a nice long sunny fall! We had one last year, and I don’t know if we will be that lucky again. Thanks, Jean 💕
It’s feeling very much like Autumn here already as well. There’s a chill in the air, and as you said the night is coming sooner. All but one Hummingbird is gone now. I imagine she’ll be leaving soon too. I am sad to see summer go taking her warmth, and long days with her. 😭
Yeah, it’s sad to see the long, warm days leave. But I am learning to appreciate the coziness of fall and winter too. Those seasons are too long not to enjoy, and counting the days until the sun and warmer days return makes them seem all the longer. So I light some candles, grab some blankets, make soups and chilis, and enjoy what the dark half of the year brings. Thanks, Deborah 💕
This past week brought in some cooler (and fall-ish) weather. We are having a rainy weekend which in it’s own way is peaceful. Looking forward to less work in the yard but not to winter which is way too long.
Yes to rain! We have been in extreme drought conditions since July. Thanks, Kate 💕
It’s good of him to contribute to the sniffs for others. 😉 – Marty
Isn’t it though? 😉 Thanks, Marty 💕
Awesome photos — they even make me appreciate this time of year (which I kinda have been in denial about). Hopefully we will have a wonderfully warm and long autumn, and a short and sunny winter! 😀
That would be great!!! Thanks, my friend 💕
Weird, WP ate my first comment for some reason. Oh well, I just wanted to say that I’m looking forward to fall too (I know it’s here officially, but it doesn’t seem like it where we live).
It’s kinda seasonless where you live, isn’t it, Janis? Someone once told me San Diego has the best climate in North America. Thanks 💕
I’ve heard that too and it’s hard to disagree (unless you love snow and heat/humidity). We are pretty spoiled.
Despite Europe as a whole sweltering in high temperatures during the summer, in my part of England it’s been colder than usual. We haven’t really had a summer at all. Now it’s September, though, and all the children have gone back to school, the sun has decided to shine! But that’s the English climate for you, though!
I think the climate on Vancouver Island is similar to England. The gardening here is pretty amazing and a lot of people take advantage of that and have fabulous English style gardens. Our summers usually aren’t too hot and our winters are not that cold (compared to the rest of Canada). I hope we have a sunny fall but right now we are looking at 5 days of (much needed) rain! Thanks 💕
Are you ready for and welcoming autumn? Hell yes!
Did you enjoy the last week of Summer 2023? Yes because it means Autumn is here.
Bowser is cute as usual.
I love your enthusiasm, Ally! Thanks 💕
