The Sunday Schnauzer – All By My-Se-eh-elf 🎶

The Sunday Schnauzer family is away at the moment gathering more content for our Canadian Family Day Long Weekend so I thought I’d share this video that my daughter sent me, while I was away on my Toronto/Barbados adventure.

As Bowser alluded to last week, he does not possess the “retriever” gene so throwing the ball with him presents a bit of a challenge.

It’s a Schnauzer thing, apparently.

However, Bowser seems to have the gene for self-amusement especially when he is given a “fresh” toy to play with. Behold Exhibit A:

Squeak, squeak, squeak!!!! The neighbours must hate us.

Apparently, this “game” went on for the better part of an hour!

Me, getting this video while away and having our Canadian queen singing this in my brain the whole time while watching it:

That’s the Oma guilt talking, I guess 🤣.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and are keeping yourselves well and truly amused.

Rock on, and Elbows Up!

  1. The squeaky toy and Celine, all on the same page … I think the word is ‘dichotomy.’😀Those toys are a great deal of fun … for Bowser. Have a great Sunday, Funday, Family Day weekend, Deb💕Love

    1. Well, cats…yeah, that’s understandable! 😁 But Fetch is universally understood as a dog game and part of Fetch is returning the ball, stick, whatever to the thrower. Which Bowser sucks at. Thanks, Kate 💕

    1. Actually, I call it a win too! I was just making fun of me feeling that I should be there and missing playing with him myself. He was and is in very doting hands when I’m away. Thanks, Janis 💕

  2. Heck I’ve had 2 golden retrievers and they were just like the meme. The yellow retrievers have been better at it but still not stellar. Crazy how they can amuse themselves though. Our daughter’s dog used to throw the ball against the rock wall so it would bounce up and he would catch it.

Here's where the magic happens. I love comments!
