The Sunday Schnauzer – Never Eat Alone Again

🎶 Summertime and the livin’ is easy…🎶 The patio door remains open all day and there is one of those magnetic screen doors covering it, allowing both human and doggo to come and go effortlessly. It also means I never eat alone, anymore.

Even though Bowser likes to remain vigilant at the front of his own yard most of the time, he has this 6th sense about when I am getting ready to sit down with some food and invariably appears.

I will look up from my breakfast, and poof! There he is! Raspberries from my garden, oats and cottage cheese – in case you are interested.
I really need to remember to close that patio door if I want to eat in peace.
But then, who would I get to do the pre-wash of my dish?

Yes, I know, I do know…Even if I didn’t actually create this situation I am certainly rewarding and perpetuating it. Humour me!

Elbows up,

The WB

  1. My neighbor had to put her Scottie Terrier down this week. The whole building is mourning the loss.

Dogs have such good hearing I’ll bet Bowser knows when you open the refrigerator. I love that about dogs. You’re never truly alone.

  2. Cottage cheese and oats- not a combo I’ve tried. My childhood farm dog wouldn’t eat the leftover porridge without cream being applied to it!

    1. Sometimes I add blueberries. And in the fall/winter it’s apples or dried fruit. Love my morning oats! Bowser doesn’t seem to have a preference. Thanks, Dawn 💕

  3. Ha, ha, you never eat alone, Deb … how can you refuse those cute eyes 💕 I hope you are feeling better and you are able to enjoy your birthday! 💕Erica

  4. Funny but kind of predictable. You realize he loves you and is only looking out for your best interest knowing that eating with a companion is good for your mental health. 😉

Here's where the magic happens. I love comments!
