Miniature Schnauzers are not known to be dogs that love water, and Bowser is no different. He won’t swim unless his only other option is being left behind, but he has no qualms about trudging through the water at any time of year.
We hope you have some fun explorations this weekend.
Rock on,
The WB
Dogs on walks are highly motivated by the smells they find along the way and those around water are different than the smells on land. Does he fish? We had a dog who could stand for hours in the water catching minnows. Bowser looks like he’s fishing in the photo.
I have never seen Bowser even notice fish in the water. He does love to chase birds, however! We once came across a little bird that wouldn’t fly (injured perhaps) and he gave chase but he also was easily distracted by me to leave the bird alone, and that made me very happy. Thanks, Jean 💕
Such an adventurous little guy. I just love him…

That makes a few of us 😉. Thanks, Rivergirl 💕
I hope it was a warm December day!
We had a very warm December! Thanks, Kate 💕
Sweet boy, checking everything out. Katie would NOT get her feet wet. Penny doesn’t mind, but I don’t know if she’d go exploring across shallow water. I’m hoping next summer to find a place where she can walk in the water and we’ll see. Your little guy is so cute!
Thank you, Dawn 💕
Oh bless him 🙂
I imagine that being able to put his feet on the ground allows him to feel safe and in control, whereas the swimming experience may not.
I’m sure that’s it too. Thanks, Debs 💕
