Some days it’s not fit for woman nor beast to be outside (for too long). For those days, I have a stash of toys to keep a certain someone outta my hair interested and amused. However I need to replenish the stash from time to time as that same certain someone is very hard on toys.
Unfortunately while I was unpacking the latest haul of toys, I accidentally made one of them squeak.
And this short video gives you an indication of why the toys never last too long.
We hope you have plenty of play and rest time heading your way!
Rock on,
The WB
Play on, Bowser! (And Oma too 💜)
He does not need any encouragement!!! 🤣 (But sometimes I do!) Thanks, Natalie 💕
Ha! That video is a riot…
🤣
I just thought everyone needed to see what a vicious killer I have to deal with, on the daily 😉. Thanks, Rivergirl 💕
He’s just so adorable
Bowser never fails to make me smile. Thanks, Sheree 💕
With all the shaking, I’m surprised he didn’t get a concussion!
My neck hurts just watching him! Thanks, Kate 💕
The video explains all. He is, I believe what could be called, a rascal.
Definitely a rascal!!! Thanks, Ally 💕
Hi Deb – he is a delight … that ball’d be a bit large for him when it was up and running – before the truck ran it over … happy days with him … and walks as and when – cheers Hilary
Thank you, Hilary 💕. Yes, many happy days with this little fella!
Sweet how they love their toys. I had a boxer that played with his soccer ball until it was single hexagonal scrap of leather. He ran, carrying that scrap around the yard, like nothing with it had changed.
That is too funny!!! I’ve heard of security blankets being worn done to tiny scraps and still being carried around but a security soccer ball?!?! 😂 Thanks, Tracey 💕
Have you ever taken Bowser to the pet store to pick out his own toys? We did that with Levi and he’d usually end up with a stuffie almost as big as he was. I was constantly sew up seams. Like someone up above with the socket ball scrap, one of Levi’s oldest and favorite stuffies, a big frog, was reduced to just a paw by the time Levi died but he still played with it.
I have not, but I think my daughter has. I usually grab whatever’s on sale and usually he absolutely loves it. I picked up a stuffed weasel (that squeaks) on sale once, and that was his “precious” for months and months. My daughter wouldn’t allow it to be taken outside for a long time but I think it is somewhere in the yard now 🤣. It held up for quite a long time, compared to other toys he has. Thanks, Jean 💕
But he’s so cute, you have to forgive him chewing up his toys!
Being cute is definitely his superpower 😉. Thanks, Dawn 💕
It’s like he had some sort of personal vendetta against that toy! LOL! He’s such a cute character.
My girls love to rip the stuffing out of soft toys and literally make it ‘snow’ in Florida.
It’s that killer instinct coming out 😂. Schnauzers were bred to kill vermin and this is exactly how they’d do it! So far Bowser has not tried to rip the stuffing out of any of his soft toys and I hope it stays that way! (He still loves chewing up cardboard though) Thanks, Suz 💕
Cardboard is essentially fiber, so it’s good for him. 😂
Live action Bowser! Love it! Wish I had his energy.
Don’t we all!!! Thanks, Bobi 💕
Hahaha, that looked like it would hurt when he was shaking that deflated ball!!! New toys are the best, gotta get that squeaker LOL
A squeaky ball’s squeaker has a lifespan of about 30 minutes around here 🤣. Hence the toy reserve. Thanks, Sharon 💕
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the video. Weren’t Schnauzer originally bred to catch rodents and guard livestock and serve as police dogs for the Red Cross? If so, Bowsers just doing what his ancesters were bred to do. And he does it extremely well! 😀
Yes! Truly, when he shakes the deflated ball or one of his more prey-ish toys Bowser is just doing what comes naturally – shaking vermin until their necks or spines break. I saw one of my previous dogs do this to a groundhog. He has a very strong prey drive, this one! Thanks, Donna 💕
Some puppy dog is very loved and the camera loves him! Mona
Very true on both counts! Thank you, Mona 💕
What an energetic pickle! I love that he has a great selection of toys, and a loving Oma to make sure he’s regularly resupplied 🙂 I’ve been really surprised to see that not one of the dogs in our apartment block seem to have toys – and they come in all shapes and sizes.
Bowser is the first dog in my life who absolutely loves his toys. The previous 2 mini Schnauzers couldn’t care less about them. He often amuses himself by throwing and catching (and chewing) his toys – no human needed! Thanks, Debs 💕
Dogs and toys…one is more indestructible than the other! I often mend them with the suture (left over excesses so not stolen) from mending the ACL ligament in the knee. So we have all sorts of toys that have had amputations! 🤣
Brilliant!!! 🤣 Thanks, Bernie 💕
