The Sunday Schnauzer – Squeaky Toys Part 1

Lucky Bowser got a new squeaky toy because his mommy and I shopped at PetSmart while he was at the doggy spa last week. This dog LOVES his squeaky toys, more than any other schnauzer I have known. They must scratch his prey drive itch.

Bowser with his latest squeaky: the purple donut. He is taking it from my yard to his own.
Must shake!
Pure bliss.
I swear I do not pose this dog.

We hope you find your bliss this weekend.

Rock on,

The WB

  1. Our last boy was a schnoodle (scnhauzer/poodle). He *loved* his squeaky toys beyond reason. So much so, I have a bag of squeakers in the cupboard and regularly had to perform “squeakectomies” on his toys.

    1. Bowser can demolish the squeaker in his toys in under 30 minutes. So no squeakectomies needed here (and no one going crazy from incessant squeaking 😁). Thanks, AJ 💕

  2. He is a natural poser; should be in magazines!! Peanut LOVES a squeaky toy too. Her friend Louie (also a Frenchie) visited a few months ago and ripped the squeaker out of every toy—about 100$ worth of good toys destroyed in 24 hours! HA!

    1. Yeah…our combined yard is the graveyard of demolished toys. Bowser can wreck a squeaker in about 30 minutes 🤣. I need to buy a squeaky toy company. Thanks, Suz 💕

Oddly, none of the vast legion of lockdown acquired dogs in my block appear to have toys – squeaky or otherwise. Or maybe they’re just not allowed to take them outside? That said, my god-dog – also a lockdown puppy – only ever seems to play with food related playthings. I find it perplexing…

    1. Bowser is the first toy-crazy dog in my life with dogs. Before him, I thought they were like some kind of unicorn that only dog owners got to experience🤣. And although it looks on the surface to be insanely funny and cute, I keep thinking for him it is just practice for killing living things (he is a canine, after all!) 😉 Thanks, Debs 💕
