The Sunday Schnauzer – Together Again!

Oma is back! When she walked through my door, I was so excited Mommy said my tail looked like it was going to spin right off my body. Oma picked me up and I never wanted her to let me go. But she did let me go, because she had to go to bed at her house. That was OK because it was me and Mommy and Daddy’s bed time too. Soon it was the next morning and I got to go over to Oma’s house. And now we are walking on the logging roads again!

Oh boy, oh boy! Am I ever ready to go!
We’ve had a lot of rain while Oma was away. The ruts in the road are big puddles again.
The creek is low and fun to splash through, though. Even though it has been rainy.
Hurry up, Oma!
Oma keeps stopping to ooh and ahhhh at these green things that sprung up while she was away. BORING!
I, on the other hand, am doing interesting things like sniffing bushes.
Here is Oma. She says to tell you that she is not drunk; she is just exhausted from her trip. In case you wonder why she can’t open her eyes all the way.
It’s so much fun to run around the roads and play in the creek with Oma again.

We hope you are having fun this weekend (and Oma says “getting some rest too!”).

Rock on,

The Bowz ๐Ÿพ

Hi Bowzer – so good to see you both together again … poor Oma she’ll feel so much better in a day or two … a few more walks with you, a meet up with Donna – and life will be back to normal … looking forward to it – welcome home … and frankly here’s to Spring, though I don’t want to wish life away. Cheers Hilary

  2. This looks like a marvelous adventure! We got a puppy a week ago…after she gets all her shots (she’s 9 weeks old) we hope to do some adventuring too! I’m looking for a harness for her…she’s still little but she likes to slip her collar.

    1. Yeah, I donโ€™t know what he made of my absence but dogs live in the moment and also moment-by-moment so I am sure he didnโ€™t think about me much at all once he realized I was no longer next door ๐Ÿคฃ. Thanks, Suzanne ๐Ÿ’•

    1. Probably me!!!! ๐Ÿคฃ Bowserโ€™s mommy has been coming home from work at lunch to look after Bowser including taking him for a mid-day walk, while Iโ€™ve been away. Thanks, Janis ๐Ÿ’•

  3. Oh gosh, he’s super excited, and I suspect, despite the tired, so ate you! It’s awesome to see those trees budding out. I will live vicariously thru you. It seems a polar vortex hits soon once this blizzard goes away!

      1. Oh, it’s Saskatchewan. Not expected for 2 more months. Off skiing again soon, so actually hoping for more mountain snow. Meanwhile, today is a bit about shoveling out!

“in case you wonder why she can’t open her eyes all the way” Hilarious! Welcome back Deb, although I’m sure you’re missing the sunshine as much as being delighted at all the new gorgeous green growth.

    1. Not missing the sunshine just yetโ€ฆthe sun did come out for a few hours yesterday here on the island and that was great to see. Still tired, but getting back to normal slowly but surely. Thanks, Debs ๐Ÿ’•

  5. I can only imagine his little heart when Oma returned. I often wonder what our dogs think when we are gone for more than a day: “will they ever return” or “I don’t even remember those people!” Of course, they DO remember us, but you know what I mean. Who knows what is happening in their little dog brains.

BTW: I got your comments some time after my posts; they went into my spam folder while you were traveling. Glad you are home and hopefully you’ll catch up on your sleep soon!

    1. Yeah, that happens to me tooโ€ฆlongtime commenters sometimes end up in Spam for some unknown reason. Maybe because my comments came through a different server???? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ I wonder what dogs think too. I know they remember because my dog used to wait by the door for me at the usual time after I fled my 1st marriage (husband refused to hand over the dog). That just about killed me when I learned of it. ๐Ÿ˜ญ Thanks, Suz ๐Ÿ’•
