That looks like a particularly pretty walk (although a little chilly!). We’re having a gloomy and cool summer, so I think our autumn is going to get here really early 🙁
It was not chilly, really…even though it was quite damp and even drizzly at times. There was no wind, so that helped. Sorry to hear about your summer…I’ve certainly experienced those! Thanks, AJ 💕
Yes, very spring-like! Snowdrops are blooming already and hellebores will be blooming soon. One thing I have noticed on this island is that Spring truly is a season…it lasts and lasts. Not like my former home in Ontario where Spring is “blink and you missed it”. Thanks, Kate 💕
Yeah, you can blame me for turning us in the wrong direction! I should have turned on AllTrails much sooner 🤦♀️. Definitely need to start planning for next week’s hike! Thanks, hiking buddy 😁💕
That looks like such a lovely hike… one that I will want to go on during my next visit. I’m glad the weather let the two of you get out and about. Beautiful pictures!
Oh yes! Your name was mentioned when we realized I had taken us off the main trail and completely turned us around and heading away from our destination 😉, as in “Joanne wouldn’t be very happy right now”. Serves us right for not turning on AllTrails sooner. Hubris and all that….🤣. Thanks, my friend 💕
Proof that Nature provides the most natural beauty in the world. And proof that walking/hiking with a friend is the best way to appreciate and enjoy Mom Nature. xo
Oh how I love a good hike with a friend, followed by delish food. This looks like a perfect day, Deb. Your photos are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing 💜
Hi Deb – it always amazed me how little wind there could be/often was on the Island … and also the scenery … all the greenery – of various ‘sorts’ – love your header … amazing photos. Great you and Donna can get out and about together. The other thing I always enjoyed about the Island was how well it is maintained (in the main). Cheers Hilary
Thank you, Hilary 💕 There is almost always wind at Oceanside, but yes can be windless once you are away from there. So many shades of green, year-round 😍

Lovely photos. I miss hiking… don’t think my injured knee will tolerate it anymore.
😩
How perfectly beautiful!! Love Donna in the mossy frame especially.
Thank you, Dawn 💕
That’s too bad, Rivergirl. I worry about my hiking days being over someday, but for now I can still do it. Thanks 💕
Lovely photos Deb, really got a feel of being along on your hike with you & Donna 🙂
Thank you, Debs 💕 That is my goal with these posts…to take you with us, so I appreciate you mentioning it!
So beautiful Deb. Was surprised to see that your snow has melted!
Snow, when it comes to this island, never seems to last very long…unless you are in the mountains. Thanks, Lynn 💕
Looks so peaceful. Without the snow it’s almost springlike!

I’d love a long spring and fall!
What a beautiful hike! I love mossy things. You live in a beautiful part of the world that I hope to visit someday.
I love mossy things too, Anna! Thank you 💕
Your walk looks like it was soothing to the soul. A pretty place to visit. Thanks for taking us along.
It was a healthy dose of Vitamin N(ature)! Thank you, Ally 💕
That was such an awesome hike, Deb (despite the few extra steps). 😀 Your photograph is stunning!
Where should we hike next week?
Yeah, you can blame me for turning us in the wrong direction! I should have turned on AllTrails much sooner 🤦♀️. Definitely need to start planning for next week’s hike! Thanks, hiking buddy 😁💕
It’s such a lovely area Deb and you seem to be enjoying it so much.
Leslie xoxo
I both enjoy and need it (getting out in nature)! Thanks, Leslie 💕
Glorious scenery & photography, Deb! Thanks for taking us along. 💕
Thank you very much, Del 💕
What an interesting hiking trail! Love all the moss and other stuff growing up trees.
Me too! Love this stuff. Thanks, Jean 💕
Wow. This looks like an amazing walk for you both! Witches hair; I love that!
Yaaas! Me too. Thanks, Suz 💕

I love these walks. Thank you for telling us what everything was. It felt like a vacation for my soul.
What a wonderful compliment 😍. Thank you, Kari 💕
Great shots! Amazing hike.
Thank you very much 💕
Loved joining you on the walk. All that gorgeous moss, and what an incredible fungus. Plus tree bark and nosh. Super post.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much 💕
so much moss! Guess rain is good for something! Great photos.
Yes, it is! Thanks, Bernie 💕
Was that the day of the 20,000 steps? I have hiked at Pheasant Glen before, but not quite the route you took.
Jude
Yes it was! And it is an over 9K loop and even more if you get lost 😉. Thanks, Jude 💕
Getting lost? Just no. My stomach clenched at just the thought of it.
A hike in green stuff everywhere? Oh, yes. Please. I’d like that very much. Our current white palette isn’t quite as inviting.

Well said! Thank you 💕
The mist rising above the trees photo really stopped me. But I love all those trail hike photos you post. BC is a beautiful place.
Thank you, TG💕 I love the mists too.
