Neck Point Park in November

A Silent Saturday post.

Rocks and trees and water. What more do you need?
As close as I dare get to this drop.
Sea birds and mainland mountains.
November shoreline.
Inscribed stone.
A burst of colour framing the cove.
Stairway down.
iNaturalist says these are Harlequin ducks.
Always remember to look up.
Famous Neck Point Park fairy houses
People Fairies leave treasures inside.
Another fabulous fairy house.
A fairy house for dinosaur aficionados.

Living my best November pandemic life…

Rock on,

    1. Well, the ferries are still running though we have been told to stop travelling and socializing for the next 2 weeks (to try and get the Covid numbers down). So if you can get across the border you can come quarantine here as yet, TG. Thanks 💕

    1. Thank you, Kim 💕 When I was at the park last, there were always small children (and parents) crowded around each one. This time I managed to get up close and personal to a few so was able to snap some pictures.

Wow, beautiful place complete with fairy houses! A friend of mine has been making those to pass the time this year. I’ll be sharing the blog with her.

  2. Very fitting, Deb, “see the beauty” “the great outdoors.” You are too close to the drop for me. I stopped breathing even looking at the photo. 😅 I have heard about the Fairy houses, yet never seen them in real life. I will need to head there one day and possibly meet these Fairies. Thank you for sharing your walk. Nice!

    1. I wish you could too! But you can leave the pan at home. I did go out and buy one this week, when I had luck visiting a delightful kitchen/home store downtown Nanaimo. (Get thee behind me, Jeff Bezos! You tempting devil of my keyboard 😈). Thank you, Kari 💕

  3. Hi Deb – reminders for me … a promenade along the seafront in Eastbourne isn’t quite the same – but no doubt the waters meet up occasionally – thinking about it … long way to meet up … Pacific to English Channel – perhaps not the greatest idea! Wonderful views and so pleased you’re wandering out and about – stay safe – all the best Hilary

  4. Looks like a lot of Ontario Deb except we are getting a heck of a snowstorm at the moment. It isn’t terribly cold – around 0’C so it probably won’t last long. Enjoy your new territory and thank you for sharing.
    Leslie xoxo

  5. Beautiful photos. I enjoy muted colors like the ones in your pics. I also like the “May we always walk together” idea on the inscribed stone. Words I try to live by.

Looking like a pretty good November life too! We’re nudging the mid 30’s this week (around 100’F) so my plans for walking this weekend may not happen. Wait and see if the forecast is correct.

  7. What a gorgeous walk… love the stairs down, they are so inviting and the ducks and all the natural beauty. Perfect walk. Those fairy houses are so whimsical and light hearted. Gorgeous pics. Keep on enjoying….
