I love the last photo ❤️ How special for the 2 of you to be spending some time together again!!
… and Englishman River Falls! Yowzer! I can imagine the roar of the water!
Nice to see all this green while we are in the middle of a virtual white-out!
So glad you’re getting a quality visit with your family. Walking around those falls looks down right dangerous but the photos are beautiful and fascinating. Thanks for sharing them.
Jean, I had visions of spending the next month or so in a cast or a brace, while I was on those rocks. That’s if I survived 😜. The more I clambered on those rocks, the more the vision became sliding off them entirely, to my doom! Like the blog header says, I’m
19 still, but only on the inside 😁.
Gorgeous photos! Gorgeous scenery. Scary wet slippery rocks. I’d probably fall and break a hip. But those photos are so amazing I felt like I could almost smell and feel the air and hear the water.
Those slippery rocks would have done me in, Deb. Whew! Glad you didn’t slip and fall. Lovely to see green and to see such fun with fam. Have a great time!
Beautiful spot. I love giant trees and dangerous looking waterfalls. I’ll keep this place in mind if I ever visit Vancouver Island again. Looks like you had an enjoyable visit with your daughter.
Thanks so much for risking life and limb to get these photos Deb. It looks like such an amazing place. Fun with family, bit of adventure, music and and few drinks — perfect.
Well, my kid lives on the other side of Canada from me, Ju-Lyn. Seven hours by air – 3000 miles away! So not a little travel – it’s major travel, and 3 time zones away! 😁
Hi Deb, I’ve found your blog through Donna’s Retirement Reflections 😊 the photos look beautiful, Vancouver Island is on my ‘must visit’ list. The water looks inviting yet dangerous. Looks like you a great visit 👍
Stunning! This is what life is about (IMHO) – exploring nature and cultivating family and friendship. It doesn’t getter better than what you have shared here.
Hi Deb,
I found you through Donna’s blog at Retirement Reflections…I had no idea that Vancouver was so green, even through the winter!
I told Donna that I was a bit jealous – how neat to actually meet a blogging friend in real life!
Glad to have connected!
Hi, Deb – Your words and photos have captured so much of what I love most about Vancouver Island. Looking forward to catching up soon!
Woohoo! Today’s the day 😁
Beautiful photos
Thank you!

Thanks Joanne! Yeah, I heard the weather is not so good in Ontario 🥶
Glad I don’t have to go anywhere!

Thanks Reticula! Are you having the snowmageddon that’s happening in my hometown today and tonight?
The scenery is spectacular! And how much does your daughter look like you, Deb?! That last photo is gorgeous.
Thank you AJ!

Beautiful photos. Those trees are amazing. Are you still on Vancouver Island? It seems like a wonderful place.
Thanks Ally! Yes, still here for a bit.
Gorgeous there!!!
It sure is, Tracey!
Amazing how a little travel changes the landscape so very much! Lovely pics of what must have a been a wonderful trip! Glad you are feeling better!

Looks like you had another fab walk. Walking through trees is so relaxing.
There’s nothing better! Unless it’s walking along a shoreline. And I am doing plenty of both on beautiful Vancouver Island!
We live by a harbour and the beach is not far away. I must admit I enjoy a beach walk over a bush one. Bit of everything!
